And we now have information on a brand-new event, hopefully coming to Wizards Unite on 07 September (assuming the WUFF attendees perform as anticipated and unlock it for us this weekend). From the information available so far, Day of the Dragons will be like a Dragon-themed Community Day.
The event will last three hours, during the usual Wizards Unite Community Day hours, and will feature a Dragon not typically found in the area. Here are the hours for the event:
* Asia-Pacific: September 7, from 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. AEST (UTC +10)
* Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India: September 7, from 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. UTC
* Americas and Greenland: September 7, from 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. PDT (UTC -7)
(What time is that where you are?)
Players can “vote” on which Dragon they’d like to see visit their area by unlocking more of that Dragon’s Eggs this weekend than any other—the most popular Eggs in each region will decide which Dragon pays a visit for Day of the Dragons!
The post also mentions bonus XP for returning Dragons, though it does not say how much bonus XP players should expect, or how that bonus will stack with the potential 25% increased XP from the Global Challenge bonuses.
I'll keep you posted as information leaks... 😉

Date: 2019-09-01 08:50 pm (UTC)The dragon ones aren't behaving the way portkeys usually do. Normally they aren't visible at all unless you have a free slot, but they popped up for me despite my portkey vault being full. Still, I'd expect your chances to see them to be better with a free slot. (There's an algorithm that allows a seed / water ingredient to appear on your map in X amount of time / space / distance traveled, blah blah, and apparently portkeys normally appear 1) when you have space to pick one up and 2) when a seeds packet or watering can would have otherwise showed up, so I'd think doing that should help.)
