The key takeaway is that we should be using all new currencies to pay for these skill lessons, which would free up extra Restricted Section Books and Spell Books for learning new professions.

So you've probably been aggravated by Dancing with Dummies not working as it should. Now it seems there's another bug in your skill tree, but this time it works *for* you. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

When battling in a Fortress, if you apply two 50% Weaken Hexes to an opponent, you will currently take NO damage in the battle. Give it a shot before they fix it. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Video of no damage being done...

BUG FIXED AS OF 15 October 2019. Sorry guys. ๐Ÿ˜•

Part Four of the tasks for the special event requires you to defeat 3 Common Dark Wizards in Fortresses. The problem isn't beating them, it's running into them in the first place. So save those runestones, witches, I've got an idea for you...

Ruins I-III will apparently give you the best odds, because at level IV you start to get formidable foes showing up. It's very likely at Ruins I you'll get 2 common enemies. (There is a small chance of just getting one formidable.) Aurors have a greater chance of encountering them, so temporarily switch your profession to Auror (if you weren't one to begin with). They're twice as likely to encounter a Dark Forces enemy than the other professions, so each enemy you encounter has about a 1 in 4 chance of being a Common Dark Wizard, which are the best odds you'll get. There's no need to use any scrolls, just rely on the base stats, and you should be fine. ๐Ÿ€

Happy hexing!

I couldn't help noticing a disproportionate number of my friends playing Wizards Unite are Professors, myself included. (Basically I looked at the description of the Auror ('combat veterans who defeat foes by combining their innate leadership with a litany of debilitating spells') and said, 'nope, that's not me.' I'm betting some of you did, too.) Except the thing is, unless you're planning to play with other people *locally*, the way it's set up right now, there's a decent chance we probably should be Aurors instead...Read more... )

My suggestion is for Professors to hold off cashing in any further scrolls, books, and especially those rare green books until after the Brilliant Event is over (that's less than five days), and we have a chance to see if they've adjusted the numbers substantially. If they haven't, at that point, it's probably worth taking the stash of supplies and investing them towards becoming an Auror.
