Well the communication is questionable at best, and I spent a day or so locked out of the app. 😐 With nothing to lose, I've updated now and it works (ish), so I'd recommend trying that. There are still reports of all kinds of bugs coming in (especially the number of adversaries people now find themselves facing in fortresses; some of them are pretty absurd), but updating has thus far solved more problems than it's caused me (mind, they caused those in the first place, so...), but if you're similarly stuck, that would be my recommendation.

If they bring out a new version or bother to update their information, I'll keep you posted. lol

So I updated and managed to finish today. It has knocked me out of the fortress 3 times and twice I didn’t get back in until the others had finished so I got no credit for those challenges. I’m so close to just leaving. I just do the daily and gifts in between events and skipping the bonus or entire adversary events. Robbing me of Trace tonics and booting me out of fortress challenges I am seconds away from winning is probably going to be it for me. I’ll hang for a bit to see if they get there act together, but it isn’t anywhere near the fun it used to be.

I definitely hear you. More serious issues for me are the realisation what a difference location makes for the game (admittedly harder to fix) and the absolute bonkers difference profession makes (completely needlessly). I maxxed Prof, and then went back worked until I'd maxxed Auror, and despite the fact maxxing Prof takes more RSBs by far, and therefore also more time, my far from finished Auror out-powered the Prof on the map like mad. With the regularity of Oddities encounters... And when I forget to change professions (I prefer to play fortresses as a Prof) and end up in an Adversary encounter, the difference is insane. The waste in time, energy and potions! I suspect there was a bias going into this that more people chose to be Profs and this is how they're coping with it. Or they're idiots. But to have that sort of a disparity and not have it documented in advance is just... There's a lot of idiocy here. (Fortunately it still ends up being a positive (enough) experience in that it gives me something to do while I'm out and about, so they haven't lost me yet, merely severely dampened my ardour. 😉)
