25% XP Bonus this week

As one million Chinese Fireball Eggs have (supposedly) been unlocked in the Global Challenge, players will receive 25% XP Bonus this week starting at 02 September 10.00 am PDT through 09 September.

As an amusing aside, there's pretty convincing evidence that the numbers were manipulated*, and it's unclear if the result was truly ever in debate, but... gift horses, however dodgy. *shrugs*

Also, rumour has it those dragon egg Portkeys return better than average quantities of rare ingredients, so keep your eyes peeled.


* You can see how they simply doubled the numbers from one post to the next, which... Seriously, if you are going to tweak your stats, put a little thought into it, guys. *snorfle*

I still haven't grabbed a dragon one... BUT I WORKED HARD AND FINALLY FUCKING GOT FIVE BRILLIANT PORTKEYS

You know what's worse, I was sooooo careful and managed to get one of each without picking up one of the others by accident, and then I figured, well they'd be easier to walk off, right, only one KM, and at least count towards my Brilliant Event goal even if they won't fill my registry...

Yeah, right now I only have one of four portkeys unlocked, less than 22 hours to go, and if the dragon egg I've almost unlocked doesn't count this time, then I need to start one from scratch tomorrow. 😕

I admit I went driving around a parking lot because like 3 times I've picked up other kinds of portkeys.

Sadly I don't have that option. Have given some thought to tying the phone to the doggo and chasing her around the yard, but I'm not sure it would work, and I'm too proud of my distance walked to want to fudge it. Or I might try vacuuming with the phone on tomorrow... (Getting a little desperate here, in case you couldn't tell... lol)

I've unlocked three of the dragons' eggs, and one of last event's 3km, and only two portkeys unlocked are showing on the special assignments, which is worrisome. (So it counted one out of three of the eggs???? 😐) I'm hoping the halved portkey distance thing will help me out tomorrow. I just put a key in the last of my 1 km ones, and it did show a .5km credit already. Which is fine, unless it's one of the ones that don't get counted for some reason... And the ones I had already keyed and was walking off? They don't seem to have gotten any credit. (More fool I...)

I won't feel bad about it until adventure sync is a thing, honestly, because it hasn't counted so much walking I've done.

And besides the humidity was crazy today so I gave up the walking after a bit.

Okay, found the problem. There's a bug where it doesn't count portkeys if you key them at the same time. You need to have at least a 100 metre gap between them.

No. Words. (So I can look forward to another one of mine not counting tomorrow.) And now I have words, but they're impolite... lol

Huh. I've never noticed a problem. I've done keying several times all at once.
