hpwu | HPWU, the Coronavirus Version (Reply)

You'll have probably seen the in game announcement, but as of now, they're making some changes to the game to make game play possible despite a fair few stuck in quarantine.

The following updates are now live in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, until further notice:

* Tonic for Trace Detection will reveal Traces more frequently; 30 Traces per Tonic
* Tonic for Trace Detection will have Master Notes effectiveness increased from 15% to 50% CORRECTION: The TFTD brewing time is reduced to half (without quaffing anything) whenever you apply Master Notes. So try not to queue them for the dead of night. 😉
* Ingredients will appear on the Map more frequently, especially those needed for Tonic for Trace Detection
* Traces will appear on the Map more frequently
* Spell Energy will appear on the Map
* A free store bundle will be available in the Diagon Alley shop featuring 4 Tonics for Trace Detection
* The amount of Gifts that can be opened each day will be increased from 10 to 20. This means those who are still mobile will be better able to help out those who aren't, but I'm assuming we can still only send one gift per person, so there are obvious limits there.

ETA: Oooo! They have also halved the distances on the Portkeys! Check your queue. They show up with have the kilometres now. 😃 (That Bonus assignment just got a lot more doable.)

ETA2: Or not. Meh. Lol. They seem to be having issues with that. I was seeing that lovely reduction in distance, and they just turned it off again. 😢 Word is they hope to have it up as of next week, so sadly after the Bonus. (I assume too many people were complaining about wasted silver keys for trying to complete the bonus...)
