...starts Tuesday 08 October at 11:00 PDT / 18:00 GMT Pacific time, and will run through 15 October, 11:00 PDT / 18:00 GMT. What time is that where you are? Here is some info to help you prepare. (As always, if you find this spoilery, please give this post a pass.)

Part One: Malfoy Manor Event Registry Page

Malfoy Family Crest - Wizarding Challenges Reward (use Brilliant Event Runestones) (3 required) NOTE: hold off on collecting these until Section 3 of the quests, or you'll need to collect more
Brilliant Ollivander in Chains - Portkey (3km) (5 required)
Death Eater Mask - Quests (Section 2) (1 required)
Azkaban Prisoner Number - Quests (Section 4) (1 required)

The following Oddities will have an increased likelihood of appearing on the Map:

Use your Tonic for Trace detection to increase your chances of seeing Oddities.

Brilliant Portkeys for this event will once again be 3km. Part One Portkeys will give you Part One rewards anytime you open them, even if you wait to open them during Part Two, so be sure to pick up the ones you need to complete your registry pages during the event. PSA: The Brilliant Portkeys now glow purple on the map.

Also, Part One Brilliant Encounters (Foundables) will still be popping up on the Map during Part Two, giving you another chance at completing them.

During this Brilliant Event, they will also be reducing brew times for all Exstimulo Potions and the Health Potion by 25%. As in the past, you should have your Potions queue cleared to ensure that you see the reduction in Potion brew time. (Similarly, I expect potions queued during the event to to still have reduced brewing times once it's over.)

As in the past, completing the tasks / quests will earn you 15 Restricted Section Books (green books), new to this event, however, you will also earn 3 Spell Books (red books), which is very nice. (I'm gated on both... 😐) And I like that they're 'paying out' more RSBs earlier in the overall quest. (So if you don't finish, you'll still have something nice to show for having tried.) This is the breakdown of what you'll need to do when so you can plan accordingly. I'm following it up with a few cherry picked items...

As far as we can currently tell, they're only requiring us to open one Portkey during the event, presumably to make up for not getting Adventure Sync to work out for the last game update. (I find that very decent of them.)

Worth noting: there are apparently going to be spellbooks available for purchase in those bundles. (To be honest, I'm conflicted about that.)
