hpwu | Brilliant Event: One Year Later Part 2 (Reply)

Part 2 of the One Year Later Brilliant Event starts Tuesday, 16 June at 11am PT and runs through 23 June. Here's a sneak peek to help you prepare for the tasks. (Potential spoilers beneath the fold.)

Rewards include 15 green Restricted Section Books, 3 red Spell Books, 2 silver keys, 50 gold, one Dark Detector, a Potent Exstimulo, a Wit-Sharpening Potion, a Strong Invigoration Draught, miscellaneous Potions ingredients and 60 Energy.

Task 1: Requires us to pick up 3 Ingredients or Portmanteaus. As in previous events, this will be difficult for some of us, because we can't force things to spawn. But if you've unlocked your Portkeys and keep them in your vault, using them at this stage of the game will cause Portmanteaus to spawn on the map. If you know you're in an area with few spawns, that's probably the best thing you can do. Other than that, we need to earn a Brilliant Runestone. That's done by returning Brilliant Foundables (so you may need a TFTD), using a Brilliant Runestone in some Fortress Battles or sometimes as rewards for walking off a Brilliant Portkey Portmanteau and opening it.

Task 2 is Fortress centric. You'll need Brilliant Runestones to complete it. In Task 3, we'll need to brew 3 Healing Potions. You can get a jump on that by queueing them earlier and not picking them up until you reach this step. You also need to pick up three ingredients this time, and can't resort to Portkeys to meet the requirement. A TFTD for the Hermione Foundables is probably called for.

To prepare:
* If you are having difficulty getting energy, start saving up now. (Or be prepared to pay for it.)
* If you don't have spawns occurring where you are, you'll need more TFTD. (With Masters' Notes, they brew quickly now)

Note that you'll need to get the Brilliant Jr. Under-secretary Constance Pickering Fragments from Fortresses, but the Brilliant Calamity Incident Map Portkey Fragments can be obtained as Bonus rewards.

Brilliant Portkeys for this event have once again been reduced to 1.5km! As a reminder, Part 1 Portkeys will give you part 1 rewards anytime you open them, so you need to pick up the ones you'll need in order to get the Fragments for your registries during *this* event. As in the past, you don't have to unlock them now, as long as they are in your inventory, you can buy yourself some time.

Once again, there's a Bonus Assignment after the main tasks are completed. Make sure to look for these in-game.

Rewards include 3 red Spell Books (!!), 5 Calamity Incident Map Fragments, Expansions to Energy and Potions vaults, 1 Silver Key, and 30 Energy.

As usual, there will be freebies and bundles.
