And here is the scoop on the latest update to Harry Potter: Wizards Unite.
New Features/Updates
Photo Mode:
* Players can now use Ministry ID Portrait Filters, Frames, and Stickers to customize your photos of Foundables in Encounter Photo Mode and Registry Photo Mode. (If you ever wanted to make Snape Head Boy, this would be your chance... 😉)
General:
* Updated the rewards experience for various parts of the game: Tap the drop-down to see a listing of rewards and bonuses you earned from Encounters, Level Up, Wizarding Challenges, and more!
* Added notifications to remind players when a Portkey is ready to unlock and when a Friend has sent you a Gift. (I thought the second was a thing already, tbh... The Portkey notification is a nice change, though.)
Support for upcoming events, Magical Mischief Days. (Fingers crossed they've done some Coronavirus sensitive modifications... 🍀 We shall see.)
Bug Fixes
Wizarding Challenges:
* Fixed an issue where players were not receiving the Level Up rewards screen if they Leveled Up after a Wizarding Challenge. No worries, players would still Level Up and rewards were still granted, they just didn't get the screen.
Known Issues
Achievements:
* The “Friends Listed I: Have 1 Friend in your Friends List” Achievement only updates when both players restart the app
Adventure Sync:
* iPads will experience an infinite load when attempting to turn Adventure Sync on
* Android 10 Only: App will restart when attempting to enable Adventure Sync when GPS is turned off
* Android Only: Players may not get a “Successful Synced” message when enabling Adventure Sync
Ministry ID:
* Android 10 Only: Player may only see a black screen in their Portrait when they attempt to use an Animated Sticker or Frame
* iOS Only: Players may get an error message when pulling the control panel while taking a picture for their Portrait
Potions:
* Players may be unable to collect a Potion from Potion Brewing when their device transitions to mobile data from Wifi. Restart the app to collect the Potion.
Portmanteaus:
* The number of recently acquired Portmanteaus may differ from the badged amount shown with the Portkey button
Registry:
* The number of times a Foundable is seen may not update if the Foundable departs the Encounter
Wizarding Challenges:
* Some players may experience a delay when tapping into a Chamber
Text in the Chambers reward popup incorrectly states that a player will “Earn one-time rewards for your first victory in each chamber.” Players only get one-time rewards when unlocking the next highest Chamber.
And there are new assets to download with this update. Some folks have reported that they weren't seeing the red dot alert reminding them to download them, so make sure you check.
