February's Community Day
This month's Community Day will be on Sunday 23 February from 11am till 2pm local time. Special Assignments will reward 3 Spellbooks, Potion Ingredients, and Coins.
The lovely OrangeWizard has put together infographics with the details and tasks:

You can expect to see:
* Spell Energy on the Map
* Increased sightings of Foundables from the Oddities II Registry page, which includes Doxy, Leprechaun, Erkling, and Horned Serpent
* Increased Potion Ingredients for Tonic for Trace Detection (TFTD) on the Map
* Special 2km Portmanteau which contains Horned Serpent Egg fragments - you may want to stock up on those for the next Brillant Event Portkey requirement.
* Increased Angel’s Trumpet and Bulbadox Potion Ingredients from visiting Greenhouses
* Reduced brew time for Tonic for Trace Detection to 1 hour
* Tonic for Trace Detection Master Notes effectiveness increased from 15% to 50% - remember you can queue TFTD for after the event and get the reduced brewing times, you will not, however, be able to apply the Master Notes for the 50% reduction, merely 15%.
* Reduced time duration for Tonic for Trace Detection from 30 mins to 15 mins, but with the same amount of Traces. This means you’ll get more Traces in a shorter span of time. (Ten in fifteen minutes.)
* When using an Oddities Runestone in Chamber 10 (Tower Chamber V) or above in Wizarding Challenges, you will only get Horned Serpent Egg fragment rewards
* When using any Runestone in Chamber 10 (Tower Chamber V) or above in Wizarding Challenges, you will get a Foundable Fragment drop
* Landmarks will be turned off on the Map

How to prepare:
Beforehand:
* You will need (at least) two TFTD for this Event. You'll get the ingredients for one as freebies, and with reduced brewing times can have that in half an hour, but it would be smart to have at least one in your vault going into Community Day.
* Prioritise TFTD ingredients in your vaults. Gather as many as you can.
* Consider planting Baneberry to make this a thing.
* Make sure to have your cauldron queue empty to take advantage of the reduced brewing times on TFTD.
* Try to unlock all Portkeys in your queue to free up space for the 2km Event Portkeys.
* Load up on energy before the event (especially Professors, this is another Oddity event) so you don't need to worry as much about restocking if possible.
* Have a look at your registries to see where you're stuck on fortress fragments. And if you're close, it might be a good idea to prioritise the missing fortress fragments for the Oddities II page so that you can get the most out of their increased spawns for the event.
* If you're going to prioritise fortresses (see below), brew whatever potions you'll need for it.
* Given the increase in Horned Serpents, you might want to brew Baruffio’s as well.
During:
* It's a tough call if you'll be better off making fortress runs to get fragments or moving around to open more event Portkeys and find more Foundables. Weigh the time you need to go 2km against the time you need for a single fortress battle at Tower Chamber V or above, the WXP vs CXP, it may help to consider that they've increased the rewards for the higher level fortresses. But this is an excellent time to try to get those missing fragments to prestige a page. (Damn Centaur Bows... 😕 Sadly they're not an option this event.) I didn't find too many Event Portkeys during the last event, in which case I'll be better off fortressing and walking the Portkeys I do find off after the event. YMMV.
* It's also worth considering taking a TFTD while fortressing and returning anything that spawned between battles for a best of both worlds solution. Normally TFTD spawn last for 15 minutes before despawning, so I always wait about 12 minutes before taking a Barrufio's and dispatching everything that appeared. If you're less fond of pantsing it, take it 10 minutes in. In fact, given the double spawn rate, that's probably a good call here, anyway. (Caveat: it assumes they don't reduce the despawn times. You never know.)
* Pick up all the Event Portkeys you can, but remember you'll need to be able to pickup 5 Brilliant Event Portkeys in the coming week as well. Plan accordingly.
If you do nothing else, grab your freebies and queue some TFTD potions to brew. Have fun!
ETA 2: Part 2 of the Lost Love Brilliant Event requires us to unlock up to 13 Portkeys. 😢 If you plan on participating in that Event, stock up on as many of the Community Day 2km Portkeys as you possibly can.
